The module plugs into the OBD port of your vehicle. It then downloads real-time data through your OBD connection allowing the module to study your driving habits over a short period. Approximately 6 days after install, car is running better than expected. What you see in the listing is what you get. My only note to the seller is in my vehicle, the obd2 access port is below the radio and climate controls in the center so the flashing light was distracting. This was simply fixed with a little electrical tape but might look better with some large diameter heat shrink insulation tube over some tape or end cap to cover the hole where the obd2 scan tool wire would normally pass through the housing.
